A ripple of wind is

stirring the skin of the water.

Cormorants are flying low,

dark arrowed bodies gliding

over sea’s upturned face …

Sea. Animism

It is liberating & forgiving walking into the water. You shed a pelt, & become wilder…

We are of water. Ancient bodies. Sea helps us remember who are we. Listening to our sensory body, is essential when going to any tidal water. Daily practice becomes a martial art. Its lessons are helpful for daily life. You learn to listen more deeply. Attune breath to your Being. Conscious animism is a lost, living connection. It is our Source. I call this Touching the Void. . Systole. Diastole. Is the pulse of nature. Our innate nature. Our wilder heart.

Reading. Landscape

Nature holds many clues to our lives. Close observation keeps us safe, physically & emotionally…

Mind separates us. Heart connects. When we read landscape, we need both skills. Our instincts guide us, yet cognitive awareness is important too for our understanding. .Landscape immersion takes time. Rewilding is like acclimatising, as a diver, to different depths. Calibration keeps us safe, by understanding our external environment - yet it also attunes vital sensory skills that are dormant, inside.

Living. Connection.

The sea is no longer an object to me. It has a name & a presence that is loved & intimate.

Sea has much to teach us. Much of what we have lost in our world is of the Sacred. Conscious animism is a lost, living connection. Its ancient Sea Road is here for us all. Its waves call us. Small sensory moments of Being. Their lull & lift helps us to reconnect. Sea is a flexing metaphor for life. Its breath gifts empathy. Learning inner buoyancy helps us to rebalance. It asks that we tread more gently as we return to soil. True Rewilding starts from within.

Rewilding is a journey that asks of us.

It takes us deeper into nature.

Our innate nature. Our Source.
